With 31 years of history behind, MIFAS is an entity that represents the physical disabled people of the Girona region and tries to find solutions to the demands these people raise.

MIFAS is currently organized in three grand areas:

ASSOCIATIVE: in charge of leisure and claiming activities, debates, excursions... This is the space where members can more actively participate.

FOUNDATION: it manages the members services: an Occupational Center in Riudellots de la Selva, a Residence in Girona and an Occupational and Resources Center in Vilafant.

BUSINESS AREA: it manages three Special Labour Centers of our own and a participated one, dedicated to the management of parking areas (blue zones), stationer/copy shop and an Call Center.

These are MIFAS more significant yearly data:

- 2.930 active members.
- 387 contracted workers and some other contracted autonomous personnel for services to other companies outside the MIFAS Group: architect, family workers, teaching staff, technicians, etc.
- 32 attended people at the residential equipment (28 at the Assisted Residence and 4 at the Home Residence).
- 70 attended people at the Riudellots de la Selva Day Attention Center.
- 40 attended people in the Home Support Service.
- 350 attended people at the MIFAS Integration Service.
- 134 inserted people in ordinary companies and protected companies (Special Labour Centers)
- 4.300 telephone inquiries.
- 3.200 presential inquiries.
- 470 administrative formalities (PUAD Aids, Disability Certificate process...).
- 530 people enjoyed the leisure activities organized by the Leisure Group.
- 200 people took part in training courses.
- 24.000 postal shipments with information of interest for the Disabled People.

 

MIFAS Structure

 

POLITICAL

General Commitment Assembly: It's the supreme organ of the Association. It is held once a year with the elected members of each county, along with the Board of Directors. The Association affairs are approved by majority in this assembly.

Executive Committee: It is formed by the President of the Association, the Vicepresident, the Secretary, the Treasurer and at least five vocal members, and it represents the Association. It manages the direction and administration of the entity following the general guidelines agreed at the Commitment Assembly.

Master Council: It is formed by the President of the Association, the Vicepresident, the Secretary, the Treasurer and three vocal members. It manages the Foundation following the general guidelines agreed at the Commitment Assembly.

Board of Directors: government organ of each one of MIFAS Special Labour Centers, that sets the guidelines of their management.
